Barbecue Steaks with Chimichurri Sauce![]() 5mins prep. ![]() ![]() 10mins cooking ![]() ![]() Serves 6 |
Ingredients
- 6 x 200 g sirloin steaks
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil 100 g
- 100 g Chimichurri sauce
- 60 g coriander
- 200 g basil
- 240 g continental parsley
- 20 g ground cumin
- 30 g garlic confit
- 60 g eschallots
- 750 ml olive oil
- Red wine vinegar
Method
- To make the chimichurri sauce, place the herbs, cumin, garlic confit, golden shallot and olive oil in a food processor and blend until combined. Add the red wine vinegar just prior to serving.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper and brush with a little olive oil, then grill for about 3 minutes on each side, turning only once. Remove the steak from the grill and cover loosely with foil and rest for a further 10 minutes
- Serve the steaks with the chimichurri sauce.
